Not Disappointed

I ordered his bedspread because I wanted a lighter cover for my bed for the spring and summer. I have a quilted spread for fall and winter. The chenille is lighter, yes, but it is definitelyl not a cheaply made spread. This bedspread was on back order due to the color I ordered I believe but was well worth the wait. I was looking for a chenille bedspread and was very surprised to see Collections had them at a reasonable price. It isn't too heavy, which is what I was looking for , and it fits our king bed well. The fringe makes the bedspread more authentic to my childhood, and I think bedspread look nicer with it. The only con I have is that the bedspread is not as bright as it is in the catalog picture, so although I like the lighter yellow too, I was somewhat disappointed in the color. This is a lovely real chenille bedspread. Not a coverlet,I ordered Full/Queen and it fits my Temperpedic bed great. Not flimsy like most cheaper grades. This is a lovely spread. Well finished edges (fringe). Color Turquoise is a little on the light side, a little more blue than I was expecting, but it is a beautiful color. Have not laundered it yet but am sure it will hold up well. It's exactly as described.

The bedspread is a great color, just as pictured: dark brown. The measurements are accurate, and the design fits perfectly on the bed. When I took the bedspread out of the package, it shed little pills of fuzz everywhere, including on the clothes I was wearing. The first time I washed & dried the spread, it left a thick mat of dark brown lint in my dryer filter. It is used in a guest room that's seldom occupied, so I've only washed it that once; I can't speak to what the future holds. The shedding doesn't seem to have had a negative effect on the spread's color or density. - Madame, Texas

Not amazing, but nice

This is a nice bedspread. I liked the size, color, design and look overall. I won't say it is poor quality, but it is mediocre. The threads in the chenille design are loose and uneven, needed a little trimming in some places where it was ridiculous. And they don't really 'fluff' as much in the puffy spots as some vintage coverlets I have. I don't see this as something that would remedy over time with washings, it's just generally a bit sparse in those areas in comparison. I wanted a thinner cotton one for summer, and this is that for sure. Hopefully it holds up reasonably, I have hope. And for the price, once you take a step back? Sweet! - KStacey, Dallas, TX

NICE FOR THE PRICE

There is too much difference in width between the Queen & King. I have a Queen & the Queen spread was too small, but there is 18 inches more in width for the King which is too wide. The spread is very nice & I will try to get a 3" or 4" mattress topper so spread will fit better. I know people have different heights in mattresses, which probably presents a probable for the manufacturer, but 18" seems like a huge difference. - Hollygolly, CA
